Our Story

Our wood business started organically. Bryant was in college when he fell in love with mesquite, and realized the cost was out of reach. He decided it was his goal to find urban logs, cut them into lumber, and sell them at a reasonable prices so the average family could have beautiful, handmade furniture.

Bryant bought his first mill, a TimberKing 1220, in 2006. Family members had mesquite logs to practice with. He began purchasing logs from firewood dealers and taught himself the art of sawmilling and furniture-making.

In 2017, we upgraded our TimberKing to a Wood Mizer LT35. Our son was not even a year old yet. He continued to build cutting boards and furniture out of the garage. We also acquired a forklift to make loading logs onto the mill easier (it was done all by hand by Bryant and Jade).

We stepped up our charcuterie board game in 2020 when we bought a Laguna iQ CNC machine. Learning the software is a learning curve but we are in the swing of things now, with lots more to learn.

The most recent big purchase to up our logging game, is our new trailer with a grapple arm. This allows us to go collect logs instead of relying on the tree service companies to have a crane or other item.

We take pride in our work and raising our 2 children to work hard and develop numerous skills. We also like to fish and camp and be outdoors when we aren’t working.
